The following are the course offerings for 2006-2007:

 

Graduate Offerings – Fall Semester

 

GRD 501 – Foundations of Spiritual Leadership (3 credits)

Professor:  Dan Scarrow

Dates: Tuesdays, September 12 to October 24, 2006

Time:  6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

A study in the personal and spiritual formation of the leader.  Topics include character development, integrity,  time management, issues of personal brokenness, relationships, prayer and scripture reading as well as spiritual discernment and warfare.  Some discussions will be given to being mentored and mentoring others.

 

MIN 551 – The Biblical Communicator (3 credits)

Professor: Jeff Valentine

Dates: Tuesdays, November 7 to December 19, 2006

Time:  6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Through this course students will develop their skills in interpreting scripture and in communicating biblical truth one on one, in small groups/teams and in large groups.  Attention will be given to the historical, grammatical and literary study of biblical passages in their contexts and to the unique communication skills required for connecting one-on-one, with a small group and in large groups.

 

Undergraduate Offerings – Spring Semester

 

BIB 134 – Methods of Bible Study (3 credits)

Professor: Dan Scarrow

Dates: Tuesdays, January 9 to February 6, 2007

Time:  6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

This course in intended to introduce students to the biblical principles of Inductive Bible Study and provide practical experience in these principles for both ministry and personal application.  A biblical book is used for demonstrating these methods.
